>> Call for TDR International Postgraduate Scholarship for 2015-2016, Indonesia
The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia has been selected to host an international postgraduate training scheme for masters and PhD level students, providing full scholarship to up to 50 Master and 5 PhD students in the next four years (2015-2019). The grants are available to students from low- and middle-income countries of WHO South East Asia and West Pacific regions.
The training will be focused on implementation research, which support the identification of health system bottlenecks and approaches to address them.
TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, has provided the award. TDR is hosted at the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland, where it is
co-sponsored by UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank and WHO.
The grant application deadline for the Master programme of the academic year of 2015-2016 is July 31, 2015. The application for the Master and PhD programmes of the academic year of 2016-2017 will be released in November 2015.

Additionally, they also accept letters of inquiry submitted by an institution seeking funding for a project. Such letters can be sent in at any time and should outline the purpose of the project, summarise its goal and include details on the requested budget. >> UBS Optimus Foundation
One of the key funding areas of the UBS Optimus Foundation is 'Global Health Research' in which they specifically target neglected tropical diseases control. Find out more about this particular area of funding on this page of their website.
The UBS Optimus Foundation generally launches its call for applications in the final quarter of each year. However, applications outside of these regular calls are also considered for funding.
